The Peace that God gives...

We face trials and temptations in this life. Just the everyday grind of normal life is prone to get us in a rut where it is so easy to not think on the things of God like we should. Just trying to make a living these days keeps you busy. But God tells us not to be anxious.
Luke 12:22 Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
vs.23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than rainment.
If we cast our cares on the Lord, He will sustain.

Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Phillipians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

vs. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
vs. 8 tells us to think on good things... true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of a good report....
vs.9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do; and the God of peace shall be with you.
We have a responsibility to live up to all the light that God has shone on our path. Gods peace is there for us when our heart and spirit is right.
I Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time:

vs. 7 Casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you.
We are not worthy of His care, but He is merciful to us.
Isaiah 26:3 Thous wilt keep him in perfect peace , whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Glorious Peace
1) I came defiled and guilty, To Jesus the mighty to save,
He took my sins and sorrows, And beauty for ashes gave.

Cho.) Peace, peace, glorious peace. Like tranquil waters flow. Streaming down over my heart, Made white as the driven snow.

2) I came to Jesus repenting, Confessing my every sin
My heart's door swung wide open, And glorious peace flowed in.

3) And since that joyful moment, Of glorious peace to me.
My soul has ceased it pining, My heart has been light and free.

4) Roll on, ye changing seasons, Or turbulent seas of sin;
I've found a blessed shelter, And glorious peace within.

Good day to all :-)

  1. 1ofGodschldrn- I appreciate the posts. A very good reminder of God's promises to his children. We must ever keep heaven in view and not allow the cares of this life to cause us to lose our focus. I am so grateful for the rod and staff of our Shepherd that guides us and comforts us on our journey home. Surely there are many snares along the way, but God gives us wisdom and strength to overcome each one if we will only trust his leading. Have a good and godly day.
